About us

Fractals are beautiful.

I remember seeing my first fractal image in an 80’s Sunday newspaper magazine article about the wonders of mathematics. The maths meant little to me other than providing a vague grasp of how the pictures were created. It was the image itself that fascinated me. The complexity and promise of hidden depths to explore was fascinating and I remember envying those who would have the luxury of descending into the depths of fractal worlds!

Later, as the Internet was beginning to establish itself, I found that fractals had a home there; based in the graphics forums of CompuServe. Here I also stumbled upon the folks (collectively known as ‘The Stone Soup Group’) who produced a wonderful program called ‘Fractint’ and it was my ticket to board the fractal express.

Over the next few years I spent time collaborating with other fractal artists and the Stone Soup Group: we became the early pioneers of fractal art. Today many of the group are still active and having developed styles as distinct and recognisable as the differences between traditional artists, they continue to offer their creations via the web.

During my time as a fractal artist my work has been widely used and appreciated, it has appeared as examples in fractal programs, been featured in books about fractal creation, festooned the pages of websites along with the covers of brochures and promotion material, along with being sold in Art Galleries.

Please take a look at the fractals I have produced for sale here. They have been specifically designed to complement the computer desktop, and as small limited edition runs if you own one your desktop will not only be well dressed but exclusive. Enjoy!
